Spring Rally & Canoe Fest 2008

Our 2008 rally is being held in the fantastic surroundings of Lake Windermere. Set on the quieter western shore of the lake, YMCA lakeside will provide us with all the facilities we need for a great weekend.

Camping is right on the shore with easy launching to the lake. The pitches we have booked are away from the main centre in a sheltered bay perfect for coaching.

We will be running a range of trips and coaching sessions over the weekend mostly based on the lake to take advantage of the open water that the Lake District has to offer.

On Sunday night we're planning for live music on site, probably a ceilidh as this seemed to go down so well last year.

In a break with tradition we have arranged for the centre to provide the catering for the whole weekend. Breakfast, packed lunches and evening meals will all be included in the price. We hope this will help events run more smoothly helping everyone to get to their chosen events on time.

Please note- Due to YMCA rules we are unable to allow dogs onto the site. We apologise for any inconvenoence this nmay cause

Cost

Adults Members £60, Non-members £75 each inc. camping, trips, general coaching, all meals from Saturday morning and Ceilidh. There is a £5 discount for booking before the end of March.

Juniors 8-15 years £40 each inc. camping, trips, general coaching, all meals from Saturday morning and Ceilidh

Children under 8 years, free

A final list of events for each day will be posted at the rally when you will be able to make your choices for the weekend but if you would like to do the first aid course or canoe safety test you MUST book in advance
